Awel Uwihanganye

Awel Uwihanganye is the Head at the Government Citizen Interaction Centre, under Ministry of ICT & National Guidance. He works with the Public sector and with the Not–for-Profit industry, with a vision to use communication efficiency and programme management in improving impact and outreach.

He is currently working on an exciting project to establish an Open Government Initiative, for the Government of Uganda, primarily using digital platforms and social media to increase citizen-government interaction, increase access to services on open platforms, provide easy access to vital information, increase participation in decision making, improve accountability and transparency of the Government of Uganda.
