The Ministry of ICT in collaboration with the United Nations Capital Development Fund organised and held an Information and Communications Technology Sector Working Group (ICT-SWG) virtual meeting on 18th and 19th June 2020.

This is the Ministry of ICT and National Guidance Presentation on NRM Manifesto Pledges and Presidential Directives presented by By Hon Nabakooba Nalule Judith (MP) Minister for ICT & National Guidance on 25 May 2020.

Of immediate concern was a restoration of democratic rights to citizens as well as guaranteeing security of person and property. Indeed, these were point 1 and point 2 of the 10-point program.

As we mark 39 years of Tarehe Sita that marked the beginning of a protracted people’s war that built for Uganda a national people’s army, National Resistance Army (NRA) now Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF), we should remember that the country’s dream for almost a half a millennium, was realized in our times.

The Ministers of ICT and National Guidance on Wednesday, February 05, 2020, paid a maiden visit to Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UBC) premises on Nile Avenue, Kampala.

President Yoweri Museveni has urged African countries to promote trade as one of the strategies that will ensure the survival of the continent and the prosperity of the people.

The newly appointed ministers for ICT and National Guidance have pledged to work closely and fight corruption in the country.
